Intel Brings AI-Ready Performance to Value Devices with Core Series 3

Intel is pushing advanced computing further into the mainstream with the launch of its new Intel Core Series 3 mobile processors, targeting value buyers, commercial users, and essential edge deployments.

At a time when performance expectations are rising across segments, Intel’s approach here is clear—bring modern architectures, AI capability, and efficiency to systems that traditionally sit at the more accessible end of the market.

Built on the foundations of its newer Core Ultra platform and manufactured using Intel’s latest process technology, the Core Series 3 processors are designed to deliver a balanced mix of performance, battery life, and scalability. The focus is not just on raw power, but on making everyday computing feel faster, more responsive, and increasingly AI-aware.

For users still operating on older systems, the jump is significant. Intel says the new chips deliver up to 47% better single-thread performance and up to 41% gains in multi-thread workloads compared to five-year-old PCs. GPU-based AI performance also sees a notable uplift, enabling smoother handling of emerging AI-driven applications.

What stands out, however, is the positioning. This is Intel bringing hybrid AI capability into a more accessible tier, with support for up to 40 platform TOPS. Combined with modern connectivity—Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6—the platform reflects how even entry and mid-tier systems are being redefined.

Beyond laptops, the impact extends into edge computing. From smart retail and robotics to building management systems, Core Series 3 is designed to scale across environments where efficiency and reliability matter as much as performance. Intel is clearly positioning these processors as a bridge between traditional computing and AI-enabled edge workloads.

With over 70 designs expected from OEM partners, the rollout is set to span a wide range of form factors—from everyday laptops to specialised edge systems—throughout 2026.
