Mashreq has launched Money Insights, a new personal financial management capability integrated directly into the Mashreq NEO mobile banking app, introducing a more insight-driven approach to digital banking in the UAE.
The feature is designed to help users gain better visibility into their everyday financial activity, moving beyond basic account balances to provide a clearer understanding of spending habits, subscriptions, income flow, and recurring payments. With over 1.5 million customers across the UAE, the rollout marks one of the region’s largest deployments of an integrated in-app money management experience.
At the centre of the platform are two core features: Activity Tracker and Subscription Tracker. The Activity Tracker automatically categorises transactions across more than 40 spending categories and offers up to six months of financial visibility, including month-on-month comparisons, duplicate payment detection, income tracking, and cash flow monitoring.
Meanwhile, the Subscription Tracker consolidates recurring payments into a single dashboard, allowing customers to identify unused or overlapping subscriptions while gaining a clearer picture of their monthly commitments.
The launch reflects a broader shift taking place across digital banking, where financial institutions are increasingly embedding real-time insights and intelligent money management tools directly into everyday banking experiences. Rather than functioning solely as transactional platforms, banking applications are gradually evolving into financial awareness and planning ecosystems.

Fernando Morillo, Group Head of Retail Banking at Mashreq, commented: “The launch of Money Insights within our mobile app reflects our continued commitment to customer-centric digital innovation. As banking expectations evolve, customers are increasingly seeking easy-to-use tools that offer greater clarity, transparency, and control over their finances. With Money Insights, we are moving beyond transactions to deliver a proactive and insight-driven banking experience. By embedding intelligent financial insights for Mashreq NEO customers across the country, we are reinforcing our leadership in inclusive, digitally progressive banking.”

Mashreq says the platform has already received strong customer engagement, with more than 30,000 users contributing feedback and ratings since its introduction. The bank also positions the feature as part of its longer-term digital strategy focused on deeper personalisation and more intelligent financial experiences in the future.
Commenting on the launch, Chiraag Jogia, Global Head of Customer Value Management, said: “Many customers know their account balance, but not always where their money goes. Money Insights changes that by delivering clear, practical visibility into spending, cash flow, and subscriptions, all within the everyday banking experience. By turning financial data into meaningful, actionable insights, we are empowering customers to build stronger financial habits and make smarter decisions with confidence. It’s been great to see it in action and to receive feedback from over 30,000 of our customers who have so far given Money Insights an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5.”
