REDMI Note 17 Pro Max Arrives With a Massive 10,000mAh Battery, And It’s Not the Only Big Upgrade

Battery life is becoming one of the biggest battlegrounds in smartphones, and Xiaomi is pushing that conversation considerably further with the new REDMI Note 17 Series.

Leading the four-phone lineup is the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, equipped in selected markets with a huge 10,000mAh battery — the largest Xiaomi has put into a smartphone so far. It also supports 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging, meaning the phone is designed not only to last considerably longer between charges, but potentially help power other devices as well. The battery story extends across the entire range. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G gets an 8,340mAh battery, while both the Note 17 5G and standard Note 17 carry 7,700mAh units. Xiaomi says the batteries are designed to retain at least 80% of their original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. Pasted text

Built to survive more than everyday scratches

Xiaomi is also putting unusual emphasis on durability this generation.

The Pro Max and Pro 5G are the first devices to receive TÜV SÜD’s 5-star Titan Quality Certification, covering areas including drop resistance, water resistance and battery performance. Big displays, AI and upgraded cameras

The Pro models feature 6.83-inch 1.5K displays with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, while the regular Note 17 models step up to larger 6.99-inch screens. Pasted text

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 platform and includes Xiaomi HyperAI. Google Gemini and Circle to Search are available throughout the range. Pasted text

Camera features include dual-video recording across the series, with the Pro Max also supporting 4K video at 30fps. AI-powered editing tools such as AI Erase Pro, AI Beautify and AI Image Enhancement are available on the Pro models.
