XPENG Highlights AI Mobility Vision with GX Reveal at Beijing Auto Show 2026

XPENG has unveiled its latest flagship SUV, the GX, at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, positioning the launch within a broader shift toward AI-driven mobility systems.

The announcement comes as electric vehicle adoption continues to accelerate across the GCC, with the UAE emerging as a key growth market. Rising demand for intelligent transport solutions, alongside regional investments in autonomous and aerial mobility infrastructure, is shaping a new phase of mobility development.

During a recent programme in China, regional partners were given insights into XPENG’s “Physical AI” ecosystem, which integrates artificial intelligence across manufacturing, robotics, and vehicle platforms. The company showcased its smart production facilities, highlighting high levels of automation supported by human oversight, alongside its latest robotics developments, including humanoid systems.

Beyond traditional vehicles, XPENG also presented advancements in next-generation mobility concepts, including its flying vehicle platform, which has already seen significant interest from the Middle East. This aligns with ongoing developments in the UAE, where initiatives such as vertiport infrastructure and autonomous transport targets are progressing rapidly.

The GX itself introduces XPENG’s latest technology stack, including advanced autonomous driving capabilities and its Vision-Language-Action system, designed to enhance real-world navigation and user interaction.

As mobility continues to evolve beyond standalone vehicles, the integration of AI across systems, infrastructure, and user experience is expected to play a defining role in shaping the next phase of transportation.
